Blizzard 2010!
That's a lot of snow! Almost as tall as me.
Well, the blizzard of 2010 has been kind of fun! Mommy and Daddy said they are happy it happened on the weekend. :) The snow started overnight Friday night and didn't stop until after Mommy and Daddy went to bed last night. It was REALLY windy too. Our neighbors 2 doors down called yesterday afternoon to say they were having a "Blizzard Party" so we made the trek over there about 3:30pm. Wow, was that an adventure. We were all bundled up and daddy had to carry me because the snow was way to deep for me to walk. He also had to give mommy a lot of help because it was really hard for her to walk with her "owies" (her arthritis in her knees and feet). I kept my head buried in daddy's shoulder. It sure was a fun party. We came back home about 6pm.
This morning we had breakfast and then daddy fixed the snow blower (he said it wasn't throwing the snow very well). I think he and mommy called it "operation fix this damn thing." Daddy was successful! He was pretty happy about that given all the snow outside. While daddy "blowed big snow" mommy and I watched Mickey Mouse and Dora, I wore my hat and danced to Christmas music and we made some Christmas cookies. Mommy took videos of me dancing that she will post later.
Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Addison

Happy "Cyber Monday"
Greetings everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and you're well on your way to fulfilling those Christmas shopping lists. We a relatively small Thanksgiving with Grandma Edna and Jo Jo (daddy's sister, Molly). Mommy, daddy, Edna and Molly all made a really yummy-looking meal, but I didn't have any of it. Instead, I chose to run around and play while they ate their dinner.
Over the weekend, mommy as at it again...giving Marth Stewart a run for her money. This time she was putting together some winter decoration pots for the front stoop of the house. I would have offered to "help", but instead I took a nap in the car while mommy and daddy worked hard on the decorating. I sure think it looks pretty though!

A few of the whole thing from afar.
A little bit closer view.

Finally a close-up view.
Hope all had a very Happy Thanksgiving!

A New Dancing Queen?
Hello everyone! Wow, has it really been since my birthday that I last posted? That's way too long and I apologize.
As you may have heard (or maybe not, but it seemed like it was a "national" news story), the Upper Midwest got hit with its first snowstorm of the season. We got 6" at home, but some of our friends to our west got as much as 12". I went outside to "help" daddy with the snow. Actually, he went across the street to help our neighbors shovel and got to play with my friend Abby.
Then, when daddy came back to our house, I freaked out when he started up the loud snowblower and I went back inside with mommy. Here are some pics from the last few months and the Armageddon snow storm over the weekend.
Checking out the snow.
Perfect snow for a snowman.
Here's me being silly after a diaper change.
And here I am practicing my dancing skills with my tutu.
And speaking of dancing, here's a video of me tearing it up in the family room just this past weekend.
Hope you all are having a fabulous fall!

Summer Landscaping Project
Another After Shot
Daddy has been very busy this month building a retaining wall and planting the bed in the front of our house. Mommy and Daddy have been talking about doing this project for about a year so it is fun to finally see it all finished! Daddy and our neighbor "Nawn" (Shawn) started the wall the first weekend in June. They got the whole thing built that weekend. Daddy finished the caps on the wall a couple weeks ago. He had to rent a big saw that was really loud to do that part. Last Friday Mommy and Daddy took the day off and they hauled and spread 1 1/2 yards of black dirt and Daddy planted all of the plants. Saturday they spread the mulch. I went to Barb's on Friday when they did most of the work. Even though I really like to be a helper with the "wovel" (shovel) in the dirt they said they would get done faster without my little hands helping.
I thought it was pretty funny that they used Grandma Edna's "Big Blue Truck." (Suzuki Samari Jeep and trailer).
We are all really happy with how the project turned out and Mommy and I are very thankful for all Daddy's hard work!
Love,
Addison

Father's Day Picnic
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick post about our fun Father's Day! We went on a picnic to Minnehaha Falls. Wow, that was "BIG Water!" I loved watching the falls, I even saw a fish bump (jump). After we looked at the falls for awhile we had a picnic, played with my ball and with bubbles. I LOVE to chase bubbles.
That night Daddy grilled his famous ribs. Mommy and Daddy said they were great. I didn't have any because I tend to be a picky eater you know. I had my favorite...hot dog!
I'm lucky to have such a great daddy!

June Already!!!
Hey Everybody,
I have to apologize that I haven't posted anything since Easter. I have been a busy girl this spring and summer. Since it is nice outside I don't spend much time inside on the computer. I LOVE to be outside. Mommy and Daddy are pretty sure I would spend all day and night out there if they would let me. Some of my favorite things to do are to "lide" (slide), "wing" (swing), draw with sidewalk chalk, go for a ride in my wagon, chase BIG bubbles and play with my friend Abby from across the street. We like to run around together, play ball and go for wagon rides together.
I am talking up a storm and becoming very independent. I like to make sure Mommy, Daddy and anyone else knows that I am a "big girl" and can do things myself. I walk up and down the stairs holding onto the wall, I can climb into my booster chair at the table and buckle myself in, I try to put my shoes on and take them off by myself and I try to do just about anything else myself that I think I should be able to do. Mommy and Daddy can't even count anymore how many words I know. They say I'm a little puppet and repeat anything and I seem to remember those words I repeat pretty well. I'm starting to learn my colors and really have fun helping to read my brown bear book. In the car I make sure that Mommy and Daddy see every "big lellow (yellow) bus that goes by and every "big trut (truck)" and all of the "tars (cars)".
Daddy has been busy working in the yard this summer. He has widened the flower bed around the patio, put sod in between the pine trees in the back corner of the yard and he built a retaining wall in the front yard with the help of our neighbor Shawn. I like to try to help daddy in the dirt. He gets very dirty hands! Mommy and I think the yard looks great and are thankful daddy has taken on all of these projects.
I started music class last night. It was fun. We sang some songs about bunnies and birds and got to try out playing some different instruments. Our class is on Tuesday nights for the month of June. There are about 10 other kids/parents in the class. After class we stopped at Dairy Queen for a treat...boy do I LOVE ice cream!
We are having a really fun summer! I hope you are all doing well.
Wuv (Luv) you,
Addison

Easter Weekend
Hello All! I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend. On Friday, mommy and daddy both took the day off and took me to the Minnesota Children's Museum in St. Paul. It was pretty cool! They had a lot of fun stuff for me to play with. We spent a couple of hours there then went and had a lunch at Cossetta. Mmmmm, I really like their pizza!
On Sunday we went to church where I danced along to the choir singing the Hallelujah Chorus because it was so good. We then hosted Easter at our house. Grandma Edna and Auntie Jo-Jo (Molly), daddy's aunt, uncle, cousin (and her hubby) and their baby came over for brunch. Below are a couple of pictures of me in my Easter dress. I wouldn't stay very still for mommy (because I wanted to see what she was taking so bad) so the pictures aren't the best quality...

Growing Like a Weed
Hello everyone...here's a video of my having some fun with one of favorite DVDs. The Group is called The Laurie Berkner Band and I really like to watch them. Mommy and daddy say they can actually stand to watch Laurie over and over too without going too crazy (unlike Elmo sometimes). Here's a clip of me "marching along with one of the songs called "We Are the Dinosaurs"...
Hope you all enjoying your spring! I can't wait to be able to play out side more!

18 Months!
I had my 18 month appointment with the doctor on Friday. Boy, I was not happy to see that nurse! It took awhile for me to let her weigh and measure me. Luckily she only had to give me one shot!
Here are my updated stats:
Weight: 23.4 lbs (35-35%)
Height: 33 Inches (87%)
So, I lost a little weight since my last appointment but the doctor wasn't worried. I am growing and developing just as I should be. I probably lost weight because I've been on a bit of a hunger strike. I've decided to be a little picky about what I eat. You know, I am getting closer to 2 years old so it is time to start to assert my 'tude (attitude) a bit!
Mommy and Daddy decided it would be fun to write down all of the words I say they other day. They came up with 42! I think that is a lot! In addition to my words I love to flap my arms and buzz like a bee, pretend to swim like a fish, and put my arm in the air like an elephant. I've also gotten to be really good at jumping and I love to watch my Laurie Berkner and Elmo DVDs. I still love to read my books and to point and name the animals that are in them!
I was a bit under the weather this weekend. I had a stomach bug that made for a bit of a messy weekend for all of us, including the restaurant we were at on Friday night. Good thing we were done eating and almost ready to leave. Grandma Edna said she gave the waitress a big tip! I went to daycare today and so far so good, so hopefully I'm on the mend and mommy and daddy don't end up getting it.
Not much else to report here. I'm hoping to get out and play in the snow again sometime. That was fun the one day I got to do that this winter!
Love,
Addison

Hi!
"Hi!". That's title for this post and it's because of the first picture below and because it's one of my new favorite words.
Greeting everyone! An update from snowy Minnesota. I'm all done with all our Christmas celebrations now. We spent last weekend in Madison to celebrate Christmas with Mommy's family. We took advantage of daddy's day off for MLK and left on Saturday and came home Monday. Mommy took Monday off, but she and daddy said that made more sense than both of them taking a day off to go.
